Hello Marilyn, The MacLennan's in my posting were living the eastern side of Ross-shire but were born in the Aultbea area which I think is in the western part. (So far I am not very well acquainted with the location of towns and parishes.) Your story about the Red Castle was of interest because there are MacKenzie MacLennan marriages in our tree and the area around Inverness was MacKenzie territory. Happy Hunting, Jean

Aultbea is 13 miles north of Gairloch, and is between Gairloch and Ullapool.
