Bill Kilcoy (IV6 7SF) is north of Redcastle, adjacent to the old Redcastle Station on the former railway line to Fortrose. In more modern terms it is close to the Tore roundabout where the A835 to Ulllapool leaves the A9. There's a Balnain near Drumnadrochit, in Inverness-shire, but that doesn't fit in with the other three, being nearly half-an-hour's drive away. We know there is a Balnain in Ross-shire as there are references to people being born there. At the present day there is a Balnain Farm House (IV7 8EE) between Brahan and Maryburgh, about 5 miles from Kilcoy. Maybe this is the location?
