    1. MACKENZIES in URRAY and KILLEARNAN Parish (1750+)
    2. BILL DORGAN
    3. My MACKENZIES are from URRAY Parish, Ross-shire. The earliest are these: According to the OPR (Old Parish Registers) in Urray, Scotland, "William was born to John McKenzie and Isobel Stewart in Balnain. He was born 1 April 1770 and was baptized on 2 April 1770 in the presence of the Congregation." William married Flora MacMillan and went her and their children to Nova Scotia in June 1801 onboard the ship Sarah. William had a brother Donald (born c. 1769) who remained in Scotland and married Catherine MacLean (born c. 1769) and they had one known child; Catherine MacLean (born c. 1796) and later married Andrew McKAY. They had one known child, Donald McKAY (born c. 1824) who married MARGARET ROSS of Urray. They had six children: Catherine, Alexander, John, Christina. Donald, Isabella. Nothing more is known of this family. Any MACKENZIES out there know this family? Thanks in advance for any help!
