Have just joined so my apologies for any errors. I am researching the above who came firstly, I think, from Barvas and then Resolois. I have some details of Resolis parish records and census for the following family. Donald married to Isabella Munro in the early 1800. They had in total 14 children. One of the sons was Colin Mckenzie Thomson had a son, Colin Thomson, supposedly by Christina Sutherland. This son eventually became a Pipe Major with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and also Seaforths. Donald's parents are believed to have moved from Barvas. Any help much appreciated.
