Dear Listers, Many thanks for your help with ''Inchchro''. The tree my great grandfather and his brothers brought to New Zealand in 1837 was as follows. Duncan ban MacLennan s/o Ewen MacLennan of Inchchro born1717Kintail.dKintail 1809.Duncan married Catherine MacLennan born 1722 Kintail d1813 d/o Roderick MacLennan. They had eight children .EWEN---DONALD---ALEXANDER---RODERICK----JOHN ANN ---MARY----CATHERINE. We are descended from ALEXANDER who married Mary Macrae and had four children Ewen -Duncan-Donald and Janet/Jessie who married Duncan Macrae. Many of these families came to New Zealand however Janet /Jessie remained behind. You ask about the Finlayson connection. ALEXANDER FINLAYSON 78th Reg of foot was born in Lochalsh in 1777 toDonald Finlayson and Catherin? Alexander married Mary Murchison at Balmaccara in 1802. They had 10 children and followed Rev Norman McLeod to Nova Scotia in 1820.Theyoungest son Roderick married Catherine McLean and again emigrated to New Zealand in 1852 this time where they had 10 children. We have just had a Finlayson Reunion and published a book for the family.1200 at the Reunion. As we are in our late 70's we thought we had better do something before it got too late.It was a wonderful success, now I'm trying to master the computer. Bye for now and many thanks for all your help. Maureen Orewa New Zealand.
