Time for the annual posting of my interests. I have lots of infomration and will gladly share all I have. ============================= Donald Anderson and Isobel Munro of Tain m. c. 1783 Donald was a soldier in 1784, and a tenant farmer after that. There was an Isobel Munro baptized in Tain on Nov 18, 1768, daughter of James Munro and Ann McKay, but I don't know if she was "my" Isobel. They had 6 children: William Anderson William was baptized May 19, 1784. The baptismal record does not indicate his date of birth. He married Janet McIntosh and moved to Kiltearn parish, and had four children there (Marion-1806, Donald -1809, James-1813, and Christy-1823. Hugh Anderson Hugh Anderson was born November 26th, 1785 and was baptized four days later. Hugh likely married a woman named Jean, moved to West Cadboll in Fearn, and was a Cartwright. He and Jean had four children; Donald (abt. 1821), William (abt. 1826), Barbara (abt 1827), and Hugh (abt 1829). Donald Anderson Donald Anderson was born May 12th, 1788 and baptized on the 20th of the same month. Harry Anderson Harry (sometimes spelled Hary) was the first child born in the parish in 1791, arriving January 4th and being baptized two days later. Harry married Margaret Corbet February 13th, 1809 when he was a corporal with the 5th Battalion Militia. Harry later became a farmer and Catechist with the Free Church. They had these children: Margaret (1814), Simon (1819) Kenneth (1821) Charles (1824) Marion Anderson Donald and Isobel's only daughter; Marion was born June 20th, 1793 and baptized one week later. Roderick Anderson Roderick Anderson was born June 15th, 1795 and baptized one week later. Roderick married Margaret Ross Christmas day of 1829 in Fearn. He was a farmer in Balmucky of Cadboll, close to where is brother Hugh lived. They had five children; Anna (1832), Isabella (1834), David (1836), Donald (1839), Donald (1840), and Georgina (1843).
