Hi listers I have a problem of the brick wall type and am hoping someone out there may be able to help. I have a George GORDON born at Stornoway in 1847, son of Robert GORDON (Farmer) and Barbara nee MUNRO. I can find no record of their marriage or births but am presuming a farmer would have been fairly firmly settled on Lewis. I realise records are difficult to find in this area of the world but I live in hope. The George Gordon in question emigrated to New Zealand around 1860 and this (from his death certificate) is the only information we have. Cheers Robyn Pascoe Hawke's Bay New Zealand
