Hello, I was wondering if someone could enlighten me - I have the Kincardine OPR at my local FHC. Unfortunately, it starts at 1804. My questions - did this parish change names around this time? If so, from what? Or, would it be likely that records prior to this time were somehow lost? Any suggestions someone may have for tracing back prior to this date, in this area, would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Suzanne Irvine Brisbane, Australia.

Suzanne, According to the Philemore Atlas of Parish Registers, 1804 is as old as the registers for Kincardine, Ross and Cromarty get. Sorry. Marleen Van Horne
