Hello lynn thankyou for your reply. My info on the Beatons/ Bethunes is limited at the moment as I have only just come across them. I have a Robert Mackenzie married to an Ann Bethune 25/3/1830 Gairloch and they had a son william also Roderick who went on to be the Blacksmith in Laid.
