Hi I have found a Hector McIntosh who was born abt 1750 at Elrig, Strathnairn, Scotland. His parents were William and Margaret McIntosh. I found this information on the familysearch website at http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp Not sure where exactly Elrig is but it appears to be in Dumfries and Galloway.
