Searching for information about Anne Macrae d/o Florence and Rory Macrae 1802 Farquhar d/o Florence and Rory ??? Male child Anne married John Macrae and they were in Nova Scotia in 1840s. They were from the Applecross area listed as Miltown. Would appreciate any information? Mary in Oregon

Hi -I am researchign the family of John McRae and Catherine Urquhart-as they were my great grandmother's parents. The children of John McRae and Catherine Urquhart were: Marion MacRae born 1836 in Tarbat, Harris-she married William Dingwall of Gairloch; William MacRae born January 2,1838; Anne MacRae born March 16,1843; John MacRae born July 2,1848; Donald MacRae born November 28, 1851. Marion MacRae is my great great grandmother. I know nothing of any of the other MacRae siblings. I received information from Edinburgh archives shows the following on Marion's death record - she was the daughter of John McRae and Catherine Urquhart in Fort Augustus?? It also says her brothers were as follows: William MacRae-single labourer in Fort August??; John-single-labourer in Nairn ;Daniel in McLellan St.Southside; Donald married with no family - warden in Larbert Asylum; alexander -married with 7 children - shepherd in Nairn. Anne -married with 7 children to Daniel Poushey in Cape Breton; Flora single -cook in Crown Circus Glasgow; Mary -single servant in Wilson St.Hillhead; Christina -single servant in Fort Augustus; Helen - single nurse in Bridge of Allan. I don't know where these names came from as some of them weren't from my original receipt of information. I included the names of the areas where they were from or listed in as residing there. Does any of this look familiar to anyone? I would love to trace their families. I do know that Anne MacRae -the sister of Marion (My great grandmother) married Mr. Poushey and came to Sydney, Nova Scotia with her family and that is where my grandfather came to stay when he first arrived here in Sydney.
