Have had to change to a new server (Was : [email protected]) so am posting my interests again. I had made some connections with people searching for some of the names I have an interest in, and would like to keep in touch with them. In the Parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester I am looking for Fraser connections - Highfield Park and area. The family burial ground is in Contin so that area is also of interest. My grandfather Hugh Fraser was born in 1864. His father William Fraser was born in Fodderty around 1831 and married Elizabeth/Betsy/betty Matheson, Urray, in 1863. Her parents were Alexander Matheson and Ann Chisholm, Urray who, I think, married in 1832. I have to confirm that. William's father was Hugh, married to Rebecca Gordon sometime in the early 1800's. Am still looking for their marriage. There was one marriage in Midlothian in the possible time frame with these names but I am not convinced that I have the correct couple. William Fraser (born 1895) was my father. His mother was a Jessie Hossack from the Croy area of Inverness-shire. Her father, David Hossack, was born in Cromarty to John Hossack and Catherine Manson in 1834. Jessie Hossack's mother was a Helen Clunas born around 1840, Duirinish.She married David Hossack in 1859 in the District of Croy and Dalcross. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Lilian Campbell
