Hello, I am trying to trace the ancestors of my Canadian THOMSONs. It is possible that my James THOMSON (b.1825) was descended from Hamilton THOMSON and Ann CARR/CAW. They moved around a bit and had children in various parishes in Easter Ross. In desperation I am trying to eliminate those families that are not connected! I have an index of heads of households in the 1841 census for Tain, Rosemarkie, Resolis, Rosskeen, Logie Wester and Tarbat.
