However, part of my response may be of general interest. If you wish to see a modern map of any area in Ross-shire (or anyplace else in Scotland or Great Britain), have a look at www.ordinancesurvey.co.uk If you have the postcode, you will get to your destination very quickly - but without that, you will still find it by a narrowing down process. A link will take you to Historical Map for an old map of Ross & Cromarty (or wherever). Again, if you have the modern day postcode, you will get to your point of interest quickly. But use of the"County Gazeteer" will take you there by a slower route. Once you are at your area, you can "recentre" and zoom in and out as much as necessary.
