My ancestor Andrew Leslie, was born in 1827 or 38, and given the middle name Conan, I supposebecause of the location of his birth... The family was in laxfishing, leasing rights later in Stornoway from the Mackenzies.... So I'm wondering whether they also worked for the Mackenzies at Conan??
