    2. It's a rainey day today, and I have nothing else to do: MARINE, ROSS, ROTTON, WROTEN posted by Nancy M. Dickinson on Sunday, October 27, 2002 I am researching a cluster of ROSS families from the 1800 Sussex County, Northwest Fork Hundred, DE census. One of them are the parent(s) of my GGG Grandfather, William ROSS, born there 1800/1803. At least two of the families migrated to Ross County, OH as the Unice (Eunice, wife of Thomas) is buried in Good Hope, Fayette, OH. The listing from the census is as follows: Robert Ross, Micheal Ross, Shadrack ROTTEN (WROTEN), Archibald Ross, Clement Ross, Unice Ross, Thomas Rotten, Job Rotten, Gibson Ross, Hughett Ross, William Ross, Jr., William Ross, Sr. Interested in any and all references. It is rumored that in the 1810s or so, there was a wagon train of about 50 families that came from the DE/MD area (my MARINEs included) to the Ross County, OH area.
