He didn't move, Hardy County was "erected". in 1785. To further demonstrate that present West Virginia to Ohio was a common migration path west, Michael's grand-daughter and Nancy's mother, Margaret Carr (born 1792 in Kentucky), married John Funk in Fayette County, Ohio in 1814.
