Hey listers, Can anyone please provide me with advice regarding the best/optimum way to research those who served on the British side with the surname "Ross". Thanks for your help! Michael
Hi Michael, My gr.gr.gr-grandfather, Donald ROSS, was born in Scotland and came to America darning or just before the American Revolution. In 1783, he left America and ended up in Guysborough, Nova Scotia where he received two land grants based on his service as a Loyalist. There was at least one other Ross who also made the trip to Guysborough at the same time. I hope this helps. ~~~Pam Outgoing mail scanned by Norton Antivirus 2006 ----- Original Message ----- From: "michael and wendy ross" <rossashland@jeffnet.org> To: <ROSS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, May 29, 2006 8:35 PM Subject: [ROSS-L] Revolutionary War - British Soldiers, Named Ross > Hey listers, > Can anyone please provide me with advice regarding the best/optimum way > to research those who served on the British side with the surname > "Ross".
