Here is my line: My Grandmother - Isabella McAdam Duffie daughter of Janet Gilmour and John Duffie; Great - Janet Gilmour b. 1873 daughter of Isabella McAdam and Robert Gilmour(mother Ross); 2nd Great - Isabella b abt 1846 daughter of Frederick McAdam and Janet Wyllie (father Hugh Montgomerie); 3rd Great - Frederick son b 1809 in Troqueer of W.W. McAdam and Isabell Russell (parents unknown); 4th Great - William W McAdam b 1875 in DunDonald and married to Isabell Russell in Troqueer 1808 Old Brickwall 5th Great - James McAdam b 1723 d 1794 in Ayr married to Margaret Allason (no other data) on 15 Sep 1778 in Dundonald, Ayr, Scotland (Appear to have married late, possible a 2nd marriage - generated 7 children) I believe and hoping to confirm that this makes: 6th Great - James McAdam b in Ayr and married to Mary McCutchon 7th Great - Quintin McAdam of Grimmits married to Katherine Montgomery 8th Great - Quintin McAdam married to Marion Blair 9th Great - Gilbert McAdam of Waterhead married to Margert Mcadam of Waterhead I could be wrong, but would love the feedback.
