Hurrah! Success! My application for DAR Membership was approved and I will be received Dec 11. I applies for my 86 year old mother too, and we will go together. The Patriot I used was Reuben Ross MD Line R 9025 born in 1755 in Dorchester Md, and served as with Capt. Arthur Wheatley, Capt. Stamford and Capt Mace. In 1796 he moved to Rockingham Co. NC for several years then moved to Sumner Co. Tn and in 1828 he moved to Morgan Co IL where he applied for a pension 16 Nov 1832. See NARA Film Film # 804-2088 Items 161-163; Items 174-176; Items 177-179; Items #156-159; 162. He has been confused with another Reuben Ross who was also a Patriot and died in Ohio. Thanks to two distant cousins, Bob Davenport and Melba, who shared their information. That may my work so much easier. Marita
