It was my understanding that our Ross family came from somewhere in the Brithis Isles "in the last ship that left before the Rev. War started" and it was further said that they went to PA. Where? I don't know. All I know is that the family had a six-year old son named Samuel. I figure that he had to have been born about 1770. The first time he shows up in anything is when he married Margaret Baird Wasson, a widow, in 1796 in Bourbon Co, KY. I don't suppose my family fits anything you have, does it?
