Hi Donna, You mentioned that Ms. Wright's book has Isaac Allison Ross as the son of Isaac Ross, Jr. (the Captain's son) and Sarah Elliott. Well, Isaac Jr. appeared to have died in 1832. In the 1860 Jefferson County census, I. Allison Ross is listed as being 26 years old and his wife, Eugenia, was 20 years old. This places his birth in or around 1834 (approximately 2 years after Isaac Jr.'s death). Were there two Isaac Allison Rosses in Jefferson County?? Melvin
