Can anyone shed some light on the siblings of Daniel Ross? I have a John R. Ross who claimed to be the nephew of Daniel. It also appears that he may have been orphaned and lived with Daniel and Mary at some point during boyhood. I'll be happy to provide the descendant info I have on John R. Ross, b. 1795. Rumor has it that John R. had more Cherokee blood than the Chief, so I'm thinking that at least one of John R.'s parents must have been Cherokee. Of course, with all the "claims," "may have beens" and "rumors" who knows where this guy came from. At any rate, my husband descends from him directly, so I'm grasping at straws and hoping.
