Hello all, I am researching my father's family,I wonder if anoyone here might have information on the same folks. James Madison Ross (my father) b.1922 Ohio,d.2002 Ohio. {James Madison Ross (my grandfather) b.abt 1890 Virginia d.abt.1970 Butler County,Ohio. Gladys Indiola (Brown) Ross (grandmother) b.abt 1897 Ohio d.abt.1936 Butler Co,Ohio} I have seen in the 1920 Federal census that James was listed a s a lodger with Glady's grandmother(Sarah Simson)-and that Gladys was living nearby with her mother and step father,Rose and Henry Purcell) in Ohio,so I suppose that is how they met. My grandfather had a sister named Ida Rose(?) Ross b.abt1883, who later married a man by the last name of Carter or Carder.She lived in Cincinnati,Ohio before she died. My grandfather's mother was Laura(Roberts?) Ross,born in Virginia(somewhere in Grayson or closely surrounding counties) but I am not sure if she is the Laura married to James M.Ross in the 1880 census(Virginia) or not. If anyone else might know of this family,please help..I lose track Laura in 1890(after James and Ida were born) and then I can't find James or Ida around 1910.
