    1. [ROSS-L] Re: ROSS-D Digest V00 #170
    2. Hi, Rosses of the world, Does anyone out there have any Rosses from Aberdeen? I've been stuck on these folks for so many moons now that it's not funny! I have Alexander ROSS of Balnagowen (dob, spouse, everything about him, unknown) except for the fact that he had a daughter names Jane ROSS, b ca 1740-45, who married William ROBERTSON, b ca 1735 @ Monymusk, Aberdeenshire, SCT. William was s/o James ROBERTSON of Drumnahoy, Parish of Cluny, Aberdeenshire, Sct.. William and Jane (Ross) ROBERTSON had at least three sons: Andrew, Alexander, and Archibald **(my line). In twenty years I've not come up with one new fact about the ROSS family, so, needless to say, if anyone out there can give me a hint or a clue, I'll be eternally grateful! I have the ROBERTSON's info down to the present, although we daughtered out of the surname in 1863, when my gg grandmother marr my gg grandfather, James MARSHALL. The Robertson name has been used almost continuously through the years as a given name, my father also having been named that, and my younger son is also named Robertson. (Also found a cousin who has the exact same first and middle name as my father, with just a different surname. His grandfather and my grandmother were brother and sister, and I hadn't known he existed. Any help out there??!! If so, I'll remember you forever! Best, Barbara in MO
