To date: Alexander McGillandrus b.c. 1740 Tain married Isobel Ross? family 1.Andrew Ross/Gillandrus b.c. 1765 Tain married Katherine McFinlay b.c. 1760 2.1 Isobell Ross/McGillandrus b. 19 Oct 1785 Cambuscurry Tain 2.2 George Ross/McGillandrus b. 10 Sept 1787 " married Helen McFinlay (4 sons 2 daughters) 2.3 Alexander Ross/McGillandrus b.15 Jun 1789 " married Elizabeth Gow 2.4 Hugh Ross/McGillandrus b. 1791 Tain 2.6 Andrew Ross/McGillandrus bap 24 Aug 1800 " parish of Tain married (1) Janet Murray (family Isabella Ross b.1826, David Ross b.1828, Donald Ross b. 1830) Married (2) Jane McDonald 4 Aug 1837 Tain Family Crawford Ross b. 1838. Mary Ross b. 22 Nov 1840. Janet Ross b.1844 Surely, a family such as this which has been located in the area since the early 1700 must have some descendants living around Tain? I descend through Crawford Ross who with his sister Janet, arrived in Australia in 1860's the research for this period has been completed, however we would all like to hear of the descendants of the family he left behind.
