Hi All, HELP!! Reuben J. Ross married Mrs. Nancy A. Cazy (Casey) in Cooper Co. MO in 1860. She was Nancy A. Snodgrass who was first wife of A. Casey. I know that Nancy's family was from Cedar Co., Stockton. Also, Reuben and Nancy are found on the 1870 Cedar Co. census. Reuben and Nancy had three boys, George Emory, James Thomas and Joseph Walter. The boys and thier descendants have also been found in Boone at one time or another. Some of George's family went to Kansas. James Thomas and his famliy (if any) can not be located. Joseph Walter is my great grandfather. I know that Reuben had a sister named Elizabeth A. Ross who married Irvin Powell in Cooper Co. Reuben and Nancy wind up back in Cooper Co. on the 1880 census. They also raised thier niece, Mary Powell, from age 3 after the death of her parents. WHO ARE REUBEN AND ELIZABETH ROSS' PARENTS?? Did Reuben go by his middle name? which begins with a J. and is that why I can't find him? Reuben was b.abt. 1842, census records say MO. Census say his father was from TN and mother from AL. WHERE DID JAMES THOMAS ROSS GO?? Can't find Reuben's death date or burial place. Family story says that he died on his way to moving......someplace. Family story says he is buried in Henry Co.
