    3. I found these Loyalist in a book "American Loyalist Claims". Volume I (I bought it for 10 cents at a garage sale. These are all the Rosses listed: Ross, Daniel (X), Johnstown, Tryon Co., N.Y. Memorial 27 Feb. 1786 New Johnstown. Claim: 15 acres. (A013/15/297). Ross, Donald, Tryon Co., N.Y., deceased, by widow, now Christian (X) Cameron. Memorial, now of Montreal, updated. Claim: House and nine acres.; expenses of getting to Canada. (A013/11/Cl). Ross, Finlay (X), Scotch Bush, Tryon Co., N.Y. Memorial 1 Mar. 1786 Quebec. Claim: House and ten acres in Sir William Johnson's Patent. (A013/15/298). Ross, John (X) Tryon Co., N.Y. Memorial 1 Mar. 1786 Quebec. Claim: Three cows. (A013/15/299). Ross, Robert, Pensacola, W. FLa. Native of Aberdeen, Scotland, who settled at Pensacola as merchant in 1764. In 1772, went to the Mississippi and continued there as merchant and planter. In 1778 a party of Americans from Fort Pitt under James Willing, supported by Spanish Gov. of Louisiana, plundered British settlements. Claim House and 19 acres near Johnstown. (A013/15/300). Ross, Thomas (X), Tyron Co., N.Y. Memorial 1 Mar. 1786 Quebec. Claim: Log house and 12 acres. (A013/15/301). Ross, Thomas (X), Tyron Co., N.Y, Memorial 2 Mar. 1786 Montreal. Claim: House and 15 acres. (A013/15/302). Ross, William, Philadelphia, PA. Left there in 1778 and went to N.Y., where he remained until the emigration, arriving in N.S. July 1783. Memorial 17 Apr. 1786 Shelburne. Claim: Brick house in Walnut St., Philadelphia. (A013/24/410-412).
