Hi Listers, I believe that perhaps I've been pursuing a counterfeit ROSS. I was finally able to establish my line to Perrin Ross who was killed in 1778 in the Battle of Wyoming, Luzerne Co., PA. However, according to the LDS records which I found, Perrin's father was Jerimah Ross of Windham CT. Perrin's grandfather was listed as Joseph RUSS and the rest of the male ancestors bear the name RUSS and the families originated in Suffolk England.
