Hi everybody, Since everyone is throwing out their James Ross, I thought I would put forth my wife's ancestor. His name is James Ross, born in Scotland about 1799. On 28 May, 1838, he married Elizabeth "Betsy" Brown. He died before 1870. His children were (as we know): John Alexander Ross b. 1841 James Ross b. abt 1842 Elizabeth Ross b. abt 1844 Thomas Ross b. abt 1846 Margaret "Maggie" Ross b. abt 1848 Daniel L. Ross b. 05 May 1849 (My wife's ancestor) Charles Ross b. abt 1851 Ann Ross b. abt 1854 Daniel L Ross is buried in Adams Cemetery, Cumberland Co, NC.
