Greetings, I am seeking leads on my ancestor Edgar Alonzo ROSS, born Feb 1833 in Vermont. His parents came from England. About 1855, he married Hannah Maria CALKINS, born Sept 1835 in NY. Her parents (mother’s maiden name SHUFFELDT) were born in VT. Edgar and Hannah’s first child was born in Omro, WI (Winnebago Co.) in 1857. They were in Poygon, WI for the 1860 census. They may be related to the John ROSS family of Omro, WI from Bramley by Leeds, England. Family later moved to Fond du Lac (Fond du Lac Co.), Butternut (Ashland Co.) and Park Falls (Price Co.) WI and was in lumber/veneer business. Specifically, I’m looking for information on Edgar’s parents or siblings—any leads or connections to this family would be welcome. Many thanks!
