My grandfather was William Ross probably from GA (not confirmed) but we do not have any solid information about him including birthplace/birthdate/family history, etc. Family lore has it that he came from GA, moved to TN. We do know that he married on 8/23/1900 to Julia Langley in Morgan County, TN. However, in the 1900 Morgan County, TN census the only other Ross families we can find is one as follows: Marion L. Ross (b. 1874) - wife Vera M. Ross (b. 1875) - son Marion L. Ross (b. 1899) Edward J. Ross (b. 1884) -- brother to Marion L. Ross We are trying to make a link from these Rosses to my grandfather William Ross who was born around 1880. Would any of these names show up in your generations of William Larkin Ross or at least provide some hint of being the same family? We're searching every avenue we can find.
