Hi, Hope all you Ross searchers had a wonderful Christmas. I'm looking for decendents and ancestors of Alexander Ross and Frances Green. Alexander Ross was born March 23, 1823 in England and came to America in 1855. He married Frances Green in 1860 Buckingham co., Va. Alexander join the 44th Confederate Virginia Infantry in 1861 Alexand Ross and Frances Green had 6 children: Hanna, Alexander, Mary Jane, Rachel, George and John. The family moved from Virgina to Tenn. in 1880. The 1880 census list them as living in Fentress co., The children were born in Virginia, Kentucky and Tenn. In 1898 Alexander married Mrs. Cordelia Sumners. Alexander and Frances's daughters, Mary Jane and Rachel married two brothers Luis Frances and Joseph Benjamin Rayner/or.
