Hello everyone! You have been great! Knew you would want to participate if you knew about the project. Here is some general info as to how to do it. Search for familytreedna.com - easiest way is to "google" it. Once you are there, at the upper right hand corner, there is a search option for DNA projects. Search for Ross. Having done that you will see a number of projects, mostly geographical projects. Look for the Ross family project and click on that. You will get a frame where you can order a kit right away or where you can click on a link at the top of the page to see the Ross family data base page where you can click diverse links as to the purpose of the project, contacting the administrator, looking up DNA results so far, etc.. When you click on the DNA results you can see which families are represented and you can click on the individual results to view more specifics. Note also that if you scroll down on the page you find MORE info as to the families tested. If you order a test make sure to note that you are doing that as a participant of the Ross family DNA project so you get the discount. There is no way to make a mistake in the process as you can always go back and mail family tree that you are ordering as a member of the project and there is adequate time (in that it takes about 7 weeks for the test to be done) to sort out contacts and what data you want to upload, etc. If there are family members who want to order for another family member, that is easy too. If anyone has any questions you are welcome to contact me. Yours truly, Linda Peacock .
