Does anyone have any information about the fates of the (at least six) children of Dr Hamilton ROSS and my distant cousin Louisa Drysdale Ramsey COOK? Four of them were born in India, the fifth was christened in County Durham, England, and the sixth was born in Ballymena, Co. Antrim, Ireland, according to my present information, largely based on the 1881 Census and the IGI. I've searched for marriages & deaths in FreeBMD, and found the deaths of Hamilton in London, England in 1906 and of Louisa in Norfolk, England about 1910, but nothing else. The 1901 Census is also suspiciously unhelpful. I have a lot on the COOK ancestry - my kin - and would be happy to share with any other family member! But what I'm really after is the 20th century story of these six Ross children, my 3C2Rs: Mary H. M. (Twin). Born about 1861 in Fowandauner Trevancre, East Indies; Ella F. (Twin). Born about 1861 in Fowandauner Trevancre, East Indies; Catherine Ramsay Home. Born on 8/8/1862 in Fowandauner Trevancre, East Indies, Christened on 20/11/1862 in Trevandrum, Tamil Nadu, India; Louisa Hamilton. Born about 1867. Christened on 21/4/1867 in Medomsley, Co. Durham, England; Alice M. Born about 1869 in Fowandauner Trevancre, East Indies; and Florence Anna Norman. Born on 3/12/1869 in Ballymena, Co. Antrim, Ireland, who were living with their parents at Bella Vista, Warminster Road, Westbury, Wilts, England, at the 1881 Census.
