My Duncan Ross was born in Canada and his parents, John Ross and Agnes Rankin (daughter of Donald Rankin of Glencoe, Scotland & Ann McMaster) most likely arrived in Canada from Scotland between May 1831 and October 1832. Duncan's older sister Elizabeth was my g-grandmother. I'm afraid I have little information on my Ross ancestry prior to their arrival in Huntingdon County. All I know of John Ross is that he was born abt. 1794 and was a native of Ross-shire Scotland. I know nothing of his family. If you find a more direct connection, please let me know.
