I'm searching for information on Donald ROSS who were evacuated to Guysborough, Nova Scotia in 1783 following the war. He received two land grants in Guysborough in 1783. He married Ann MORRIS, daughter of Richard MORRIS, date unk, but before 1784. It appears (but not yet confirmed) that Donald ROSS shows up on the muster rolls of the King's Royal Regiment of New York, Captain Alexander McDonnell's Company. I have confirmed, through the 1817 census, that Donald ROSS was born in Scotland and was "over the age of 50" at the time of the 1817 census. If anyone has additional information about his origins in Scotland, and his parents, I would be most grateful! Many thanks! ~~~Pam
