    1. Re: [ROSS-L] Re: PLEASE! Any ROSS in Missouri or Minnesota?
    2. I am very interested in Ross family from Missouri or Minnesota. I have a grandfather, Herbert Morton Ross, born in Missouri in 1890, then the family moved to Cincinnati OH, then the parents, James Ross b 1840 & wife Eliza (McLaney?) ended up in Minnesota and are buried there in Roselawn Cemetery. I haven't been able to find out why they went to Minnesota, family could be the reason but them I'm told, as a railroad worker, that may have taken him there. Any ideas? I have posted several times with no replies. Any Rosses from either of these states would be a start since the following is all that I have:My Rosses left from Missouri to live in Minnesota, probably around 1860. My great-great grandmother was born in a covered wagon on this trip. Her name was Martha Sophronia Etha Linda Ross. She married George Clinton Shingledecker, Jr. Her sister, Emma Ross was born in Minnesota in 1863. She married Christopher Carli Brown. She had a brother, Charlie of unknown age. If there were other siblings, I am unaware of them. [email protected] >>
