I found some of my Rosses in Ward 6, Halifax City, Nova Scotia census for 1901,. Does anyone know what areas Ward 6 covers? Is it an area of streets or another smaller town? My Rosses from 1901 census for Halifax City are: Andrew born 1856 Head Ella Studivan born 1858 Wife Daisy born 1893 daughter Caroline born 1895 daughter Earl born 1897 son (another son Tom born after 1901) Andrew's brother was William born 1851 Head Lizzie born 1854 Wife Maud born 1879 Daughter Andrew and Williams father was Murdock and mother Amelia Hangle (maybe from Scotland) It's possible that Maud Ross married a "Bayars." There were "Fitzmaurice" in Ward 6 in Halifax City. As I am 68 and my grandfather died 60 years ago I think I remember the Fitzmaurice name from him. Any of these Rosses make a link. (I wish!)
