Hi Debra, Your message interests me as I have been unable to find the parents nor siblings for my g.g.g.grandfather Andrew ROSS whose wife Helen Montgomery was born at Milntown village in Kilmuir Easter 1749c.His grandson Andrew Ross went to Salthill, Galway in Ireland and his daughter Marianne Jane sailed to Australia with her aunt Mrs SIM .There she married and on the certificate her domicile was listed as PARKHILL. I have since found that the name comes from the old home area near Balnagown and the villages of Milntown and Kildary in the parish of Kilmuir Easter.Our farming Rosses corresponded with the then Laird of Balnagown but no historic penmanship just genteel invitaion and response!
