I emailed the Logan County Genealogical Society in the hopes that they have some probate for a John H Ross who died 21 Aug 1844 in Logan Co, presumably. They may not have the probate, but according to the 1840 Census he had a son born 1835-1840 and a wife, so one would think that there should be a will or some sort of court documents. I am trying to prove or disprove that my Sullivan born abt 1836 (between 1835-1840 in 1840) is the son of John H. and an unknown wife. In 1850 Sullivan was living with A. H., George H., and a woman named Elizabeth born about 1794 PA. Since the census does not list a relationship, you can see my problem. One could assume Sullivan is the son of this Elizabeth and brother to Andrew H. (A.H.), and George H. Richard Ross >
