I would like to correspond with anyone who has info. on the surname ROSS that moved to MS from SC. I am trying to locate the ancestors of Francis Marion Ross who settled in Marengo Co. AL in 1836. I believe his parents migrated from SC to AL then on to MS. Thanks Gadson S. Ross

Gadson, I have Arthur Ross from SC. He moved to GA. I have the names of two of his daughters, but not his son. I know from census records he did have at least one son, born bet. 1835 - 1840. Arthur was b. Bet. 1799 - 1800, SC. He d. Aft. 1880, in GA. I am not sure if we have a connection, but this is what I have.Maybe it will have some kind of clue for you.
