    3. Hello Mr. Ross, I'm responding to your query because of a remarkable circumstance. I have a great grand uncle, FRANCIS MARION ROSS, born 29 Oct 1829, in MARENGO, Liberty Twp., Crawford County, Indiana. His father, my great great grandfather, Isaac Ross apparently was born in Kentucky. Exactly where in KY, I have yet to discover. Just thought I'd pass this on. To the best of my knowledge, there is no connection with any of the Ross family who were located in SC, AL, or MS. However, I truly do not know for sure the location of Isaac's birthplace. I would be happy to share information on my line if you request such. Best regards, John H. 3. Hi John Ross, I am Mr. ROSS's cousin Jean. My ancestors are all from PA from the 1700s but descendants went to other states, some to KS, to VA, to AZ, CA etc. Among your other names listed the only one looking familar is BURKHART. Christopher BURKET was a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to PA from NJ and married Mary Ann ROSS, daughter of James. I will check your web sit and also keep your name on hand in the event I come across any clues. Cordially, Jean Hudson Masco

    3. Hi Pete, just came across your note and will pass on this info that I found on Francis' death certificate in Princeton, IN. it gives his place of birth as NC, nothing about his mother. It may or may not be correct as I have found many errors on both birth and death certificates. 3. Dear Pete and Mr. Ross, I would like to encourage both of you to do a Y-DNA test via Family Tree DNA, Ross family project. I think that you, Pete, may be related to the Rice Ross family represented there. I think we need Ross males from all possible lines to be tested to see possible connections. Am writing in a hurry now but can provide more info as to project if needed.
