I am trying to find any info on James and Mary Jane Collison Ross who married 1837 Delaware County, Indiana. I know NOTHING about them after their marriage. Does anyone claim any of the following families? Mary was born in Ohio about 1820-1822 time period, but came to Indiana as a young child. Finding a James and Mary is taking LOTS of Digging. Her mother was born in Pennsylvania and her father in Virginia. The first one is probably INCORRECT since they have been married only 13 years and there is a 15 year old son UNLESS James was married previously. I am trying to track a Clarence Ross, b. December, 1886, to Ambrose S. Ross and Sarah Emma Self Ross. Ambrose and Sarah Emma were married March 18, 1886, in Orange County, IN. Ambrose died sometime between 1895-1900 and Clarence went to live with his Uncle, John Thomas Self, in Knox County, IN. The 1910 census (April 26, 1910) has a Clarence Ross, Illinois, Lawrence Co., Denton Twp., ED 124 page 7B, age 23, born Ind. parents Ind., hired hand. Lawrence County appears to be right across the Wabash River from Knox County, IN. Can anyone help me in determining whether this is "my Clarence" and what happened to him next? Reuben's parents were Elijah Ross b. 1846 and Nancy Jane Redden. That is all I have been able to find on Nancy. I have some sketchy information on Reuben's family a few generations back to Robinson Ross. I have fared a little better on the line Alice comes from. Her parents were John Ross and Susan Norsworthy. The Norsworthy's are well documented back to Thomas who was born in 1522. I have some slightly more detalied information on John's family back to Cain Ross born in 1755 in Maryland. I someone has more information on these families - dates and maiden names for the spouses would be great, too -- I would really appreciate it. In responce to the message below. John W. Ross was born 1815 in Johnsbury, Warren County, New York. He married Mary Whipple about 1839. She may have been born about 1818. John W. is the son of Elisha Ross and Sally Wilson. I am aware of only one child of John W. and Mary and that is David Ross, born 8 June 1840.
