    1. [ROSS-L] UK born ROSS
    2. Hello, Does anyone have any info. on a ROSS male who emigrated from the UK. to South Africa in the 1800s, and married a lady named GLOVER either in the UK or South Africa. Their children were all given the name GLOVER-ROSS, and the family were living at Foxhill, Pietermaritzburg in the 1880s. One of their daughter's, Margaret GLOVER-ROSS, married my Father, Charles Frederick RENNEY, in 1907, and was the mother of the four half-brothers and sisters, I am also attempting to trace. Regards, Pam [RENNEY] in Arizona.

    3. SAndy My Dad was John Hart Ross (wife Edith Roche) , his father was John Andrew Ross (wife Bernadina Augusta Hart), his father Frank Elmer Ross (wife Ellen Montgomery) and his Father was John Cobb Ross (wife Luella J Moody) and his father was Joseph Ross (wife Almira Cobb) I can not get any furthur than Joseph who supposedly was born in North Yarmouth but no one can find a record. Are any of these familiar to you at all. Family tradition says that the Rosses came from Scotland by way of Canada. But I can not proove that. 1. [ROSS-L] Catholics Rosses & migration to Holland
    2. Judith Haller
    3. I'm looking for recommendations for reference works about the Catholic Rosses who migrated to the Netherlands in the mid-late 1700s to escape religious persecution. It appears that John Garrett Ross was born somewhere in Scotland but lived somewhere in the Netherlands around 1816-1828, where he wed Mary Catherine Korf and had 3 children before arriving in the US. I'm looking for background on these historical events to help pinpoint where I could find official records of the marriage and baptisms. Thanks! -- Judith Haller jhaller@io.com http://www.io.com/~jhaller/

    1. [ROSS-L] Where is Charlie Ross?
    2. Burgoon, Al
    3. Hi, I went to college (Univ. of Maryland, College Park) with a guy named Charlie Ross. This was back in 1967 - 1971. Charlie would be about 54 years old. He was from Essex area of Baltimore County. He was an engineering major, when I knew him. We were in Antietam B dormitory, which were temporary dorms-trailers in fact. We had a great time together. Haven't seen or heard from him since. Would like to catch up with him if someone knows where to find him. Thanks. Al B.

It appears he was born around 1767 in VA, died date unknown in Ross County, Ohio. He married, again in VA?, to Barbara _______________, born abt 1764 in VA. Data also reflects that they may have migrated to Ross County Ohio sometime between 1804 and 1810. > >Am looking to find a date for his marriage, death, as well as who his children were reputed to have been. > >Only data I have shows his children to be Christopher, b. 1804 in VA, and Stephen, b. 1812 in OH. This seems very odd to me, If these were his only two children, with no other previous marriages shown for either of them, these births then would then make Barbara aged 40 and 48 respectively at the time of their births. It would seem that they may have had other/older children as well. > >Would be more than happy to hear from anyone researching this Ross line.... > >Thanks > >Sue > > >--------------------------------- >Do you Yahoo!? >The New Yahoo!
