Do not open any attachments that you have recieved from me. If you have virus protection software I suggest you scan all local harddrives immediately. 3 Files which will be infected and must be removed include: KERN32.EXE hksdll.dll INETD.EXE These files are located in the WINDOWS, and WINDOWS/SYSTEM folders more than likely on your C: drive. Once you find them, you will have to boot from a startup disk, and remove them in the DOS shell, because they are registered as system files. This sounds scary, but they are not legitimate system files in the first place, so you will do your operating system no harm by removing them. I appologize for any inconvenience, and hopefully you will have little difficulty in their removal. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wanda Smith" <dolledup@bellsouth.net> To: <bluefin35@sympatico.ca> Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2001 7:22 AM > Lynda, > I tried to open the attachment that you sent, but unfortunately was not able > to do so.
