I, too, am researching HUTCHINS and ROSE although my ROSES came from Virginia to Ohio. My HUTCHINS ancestors were living in Gallia County Ohio by 1840, but I don't know where they lived before that. My grandmother was Mary Rosalia HUTCHINS who married Lifus Milo ROSE in Ohio in 1902. I do not know of a Montgomery B. ROSE in my ROSEs. Debbie, do you know what part of Ohio your ROSEs came from? There was a Pleasant ROSE who was an uncle of my great-grandfather, Sebird ROSE. This Pleasant was born 15 May 1820 and died 2 February 1806 in Gallia County, Ohio and married Amanda Yingling.
