I am so desparately looking for a will for Ezekiel Rose who resided in Washington Co./Greene Co., PA at the time of his death. He lived on Ten Mile Creek & lastly on Pigeon Creek. I don't have the exact birth & death dates of Ezekiel. He probably died before 1800. He married Mary Higgans (or some spelling variations of Higgans). He was the son of Robert Rose and Hannah (Johanna) Quick/Crawford. One thing for sure. He had a brother named Tychicus. He, too lived on Ten Mile Creek. Our Ezekiel Rose has been called Ezekiel Ross in various records. He was a Captain in the Washington Co. PA Militia, and was part of the doomed Sandusky Campaign led by Col. William Crawford in 1782. We THINK, and want to PROVE, that he was the father of our John Rose, who was born in 1761, probably in Fredericksburg, VA (now Hampshire Co., WV). John Rose might have had siblings named William, Rachel (who married John McIntyre & was killed by Indians), and Robert. I do so hope someone has some information on this Ezekiel Rose/Ross. Thanks.
