The fee in the forgoing 2 acres of land is not visited inthe parties of the 1st part of Sophia ROSE and Ann Vina THOMPSON and only said life interest or estate is hereby conveyed to both parties. Who was M. C. ROSE and Sophia ROSE? Where does the THOMPSON widow fit in? She was allowed to live on her land until her death according to records I have seen. W. P. ROSE was the brother/half brother of M. C. "Mack" ROSE. W. P. ROSE was a Justice of the Peace in Graham Co., NC. He married (1) Alice COOPER and (2) Walla WALLS. M. C. ROSE was his brother. Their mother, Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" ROSE never married. The lands being discussed were on the Loudon and Blount County border, in the (now) Lanier and Greenback areas. Any ideas anyone?
