    2. All, William ROSE, b. 17 Nov 1763, Litchfield Co., CT, s/o John and Lucy (Boardman) ROSE, m. Suzan DINSMORE (also "Susannah" and "Densmore". Also listed as Dumbaugh. One source says Susannah North, a French lady). William d. 23 Jan 1844/49? Nimmonsburg, Broome Co., NY and was buried in Nimmons Cem. Amer Rev War svc file #S-11324 [CR #S 111324]William entered service as a musician as a substitute for Azias Boardman of Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT William-in Capt Monson's Co, 8th CT Regt Svc from 7 Jul 1778 to 9 Dec 1780 Later used title: "Colonel". as he was appt Lt. Col of militia Regiment in later years, also a physician/doctor Could have known Timothy ( 8th Regt) or Jabez PERCIVAL during Rev War svc. and their families. Could be that Elvira, Jabez's daughter, was known to the Roses in CT, lived in Litchield until 1785 when he move to Chenango River, NY Was an early pioneer of the area., d. at Nimmonsburg which is near Binghampton, Broome Co., NY Need some claification on William ROSE's wife, Suzan.
